Ginny King, Dance Director, is a graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts. She trained extensively in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Bellydance, and various other dance forms as well as voice and acting. She debuted on Broadway in the original cast of ’42nd Street’ , which won the Tony for Best Musical of 1980.
Ms King has also entertained on cruise ships, in national tours and cabarets in the U.S. and abroad. She directed her own professional dance company in Atlanta for 15 years. Specializing in spectacular entertainment for theme parties related to conventions and corporate events, Ms. Ginny has become an expert on a wide variety of crowd-pleasing retro-pop styles. Her company performed everything from re-creations of Isadora Duncan’s dances to Saturday Night Fever 70’s Disco. She especially loves Bellydance, Tap, the CanCan, Funk and Roaring Twenties dance styles. Don’t expect any Hip-Hop, though. It’s not her ” THANG”.
Ms. Ginny maintains a huge collection of spectacular high-quality dance costumes in both adult and youth sizes. She hopes to create enough well-trained teen and adult dancers to present some really great shows for the community.
